Perseus

Perseus: A constellation in the northern sky, named after the Greek mythological hero Perseus, and associated with many other constellations and legends from ancient cultures.
Notable stars: The constellation contains many bright and variable stars, such as Algol (the Demon's Head), Mirfak (the elbow), and Zeta Persei (the leader of a group of blue supergiants).
Nebulae and galaxies: The constellation also hosts many nebulae, such as the California Nebula and the Little Dumbbell Nebula, and some galaxies, such as NGC 1275 and NGC 1260, which have active nuclei and produce jets of material.
Meteor showers: The constellation is the radiant of the annual Perseids meteor shower, one of the most prominent meteor showers in the sky, and the newly discovered September Epsilon Perseids.
