Triangulum

Triangulum: A small constellation in the northern sky named after its three brightest stars that form a triangle.
History: Known to the ancient Babylonians and Greeks, Triangulum was one of the 48 constellations listed by Ptolemy and had various names and associations in different cultures.
Stars: Triangulum contains several notable stars, including Beta, Gamma and Alpha Trianguli that make up the triangle, Iota Trianguli, a double star system, and two star systems with known planets, HD 9446 and HD 13189.
Deep sky objects: Triangulum is home to the Triangulum Galaxy, a spiral galaxy and a member of the Local Group, as well as several other smaller galaxies and the first quasar ever observed, 3C 48.
