Norma

Norma: A small constellation in the Southern Celestial Hemisphere, named after a scientific instrument and containing many faint stars.
Stars: The brightest star is Gamma 2 Normae, a yellow giant. Mu Normae is one of the most luminous stars known. Several variable stars and binary systems are also found in Norma, including a possible gamma-ray burst progenitor.
Planets: Four star systems have confirmed planets, mostly gas giants with short orbital periods. HD 330075 was the first planet discovered by the HARPS spectrograph.
Deep-Sky Objects: Norma lies on the Milky Way and hosts many star clusters, planetary nebulae, and X-ray sources. Abell 3627 is a massive galaxy cluster that may be the Great Attractor. The Norma Arm is a minor galactic arm named after the constellation.
