Delphinus

Delphinus: A small constellation in the Northern Celestial Hemisphere, named after the Latin word for dolphin. It is one of the 48 constellations listed by Ptolemy and has five bright stars forming a distinctive asterism.
Mythology: Delphinus is associated with two Greek myths, one involving Poseidon and Amphitrite, and the other involving Arion and a dolphin. It also has meanings in other cultures, such as Chinese, Polynesian, and Hindu.
Stars: Delphinus has two stars above fourth magnitude, Sualocin and Rotanev, which are spectroscopic binaries. It also has Gamma Delphini, a celebrated binary star among amateur astronomers, and Epsilon Delphini, a variable star. Zeta Delphini has a brown dwarf companion, and 18 Delphini has an exoplanet named Arion.
Deep-sky objects: Delphinus is in a rich Milky Way star field and contains several planetary nebulae, such as NGC 6891 and NGC 6905, and globular clusters, such as NGC 6934 and NGC 7006.
