Stars - the constellation contains several bright stars, such as Alpha and Zeta Telescopii, as well as some unusual stars with very little hydrogen, such as PV and RS Telescopii, and some variable stars, such as RR and RX Telescopii.
Star systems - the constellation also hosts some star systems with brown dwarf or white dwarf companions, such as Eta, PZ, and QS Telescopii, and a possible triple system with a black hole, QV Telescopii (HR 6819).
Deep-sky objects - the constellation features some galaxies, such as NGC 6845, an interacting system of four galaxies, and NGC 6584, a globular cluster with many variable stars, as well as some nebulae, such as IC 4699, a planetary nebula.
