Eridanus

Eridanus: A Constellation - Eridanus is a constellation in the southern sky that represents a river. It is one of the largest and longest constellations, with many notable stars and objects.
Achernar: The River's End - Achernar is the brightest star in Eridanus and the ninth brightest star in the sky. It is a very fast-spinning star that is flattened at the poles and has a companion star.
Other Stars and Planets - Eridanus contains many other stars of different colors, sizes, and types, some of which have planets or are part of multiple star systems. Epsilon Eridani is one of the closest stars to Earth with a Jupiter-like planet.
Eridanus Supervoid and Nebulae - Eridanus is also home to the Eridanus Supervoid, a huge empty region of space, and several nebulae, such as NGC 1535 and IC 2118, which are clouds of gas and dust.
Galaxies and Meteor Showers - Eridanus has several galaxies within its boundaries, such as NGC 1300, a barred spiral galaxy with a unique structure. It also hosts two meteor showers, the Nu Eridanids and the Omicron Eridanids, that occur annually.
Mythology and Culture - Eridanus has been associated with various rivers and myths from different cultures, such as the Greek myth of Phaethon, the Babylonian star of Eridu, the Indian Ganges, and the Chinese White Tiger. It has also inspired the name of a US Navy ship.
